Girl Scout Founders Day Activity

On October 20, 2016, Girl Scout Troop 311 hosted a Juliette Low birthday party for the troops of the Midtown Service Unit. Juliette Low was the founder of Girl Scouts, and to celebrate the gift of Girls Scouts, the girls decided to collect supplies as a present for AK Child and Family. The girls felt that "every kid deserves a birthday celebration!" So the troops of Midtown brought cake mixes, icing, a piñata monkey, favors, decorations and other items for a birthday parties. Troop 311 was amazed to see how generous everyone was and hopes the kids get to experience a great birthday. “Wish we could be at the monkey themed birthday! Don’t hurt the monkey too bad.”

Girl Scouts are proud to contribute to AK Child and Family and help in their mission to support our Communities Families.
