Here in this place of healing called AK Child & Family – we are filled with gratitude for many things....most especially:
· our students and their families
· our staff
· the multitude of people who faithfully support and sustain our mission.
Knowing that gratitude begins in our hearts and then dovetails into behavior, it is my prayer that an attitude of gratitude becomes a habit for each of us- not just on Thanksgiving, but each and every day!
Being thankful can be therapeutic. By practicing gratitude, we can begin to make sense of our past, bring peace for today, and create a new vision for tomorrow. I pray that we find ways to give thanks for everything that comes along our path, knowing that every step forward is a step toward healing.
I give thanks that here at AK Child & Family we are firmly rooted in our foundation of faith. Faith that we do not do this work alone. Faith that a brighter future awaits us all. Faith that, as we act as God’s hands and feet in this place, Divine healing will occur.
Thank the miracle working God,
God’s love never quits.
The God who filled the skies with light,
God’s love never quits.
Moon and stars as guardians of the night,
God’s love never quits.
God remembers us when we are down,
God’s love never quits.
Takes care of everyone in time of need,
God’s love never quits.
Thank God who does it all!
God’s love never quits! (adapted from Psalm 136)
May this season bring you and yours abundant opportunities to give thanks. We are grateful for the blessing of your care. Thank you.
